I START TOMORROW!
Christmas Festival of Bad Habits

4 – 23 December 2025, Římské náměstí [Roman Square], Brno

Christmas is meant to be a peaceful, quiet holiday – but the reality is often quite different.

The hustle and bustle, the shopping, the cleaning up, the overeating, the pre-visitor stress, and finally the family rows. Doesn’t it sound more like a parade of human bad habits than a celebration of the most wonderful time of the year? Let’s change that!

The Christmas Festival of Bad Habits, held in the very heart of the city, brings both locals and visitors to Brno an alternative to Christmas in its present form, which many see as overly consumerist. It offers the opportunity to finally slow down, take a breath, and make room for inner calm.

The project ties in with the National Collection of Bad Habits by artist Kateřina Šedá, who has been mapping Czech bad habits for a while now. This time, however, the focus is on overcoming our weaknesses, not just naming them.

As a result, Římské náměstí will be making its first active appearance on the Brno Christmas map this season. Throughout the year, it’s a meeting place for on the margins of society. That’s why the main theme of this space centres on barriers and overcoming them.

The architects from PEER COLLECTIVE are behind the architectural design. With the help of large-format curtains, they divided Římské náměstí up with a series of symbolic barriers visitors have to overcome in order to get to the centre of events. The curtains aren’t meant to obstruct, but rather to inspire a personal transformation, to serve as a small, private ritual on the path to a better self.
And that’s the highlight of our entire programme!

I Start Tomorrow isn’t just a festival – it’s mainly a new beginning.
Let’s give it a try – together!
